Officially: Cristiano Ronaldo’s son at Manchester United. He took over his father’s number

Cristiano Ronaldo has been going through very difficult times lately. His big comeback to Manchester United is definitely not what he imagined it to be. The team is failing the entire line, and he is also not as effective as ever in recent weeks. The Portuguese scored the last goal on December 30, with Manchester taking only fourth place in. On top of that, he was eliminated from the FA Cup by second-tier Middlesbrough last week.

Cristiano Ronaldo rejoined in the summer of 2021. For the Portuguese, it is a return to Old Trafford after 13 years. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old has played for Real Madrid and Juventus. Each move of a footballer also means significant changes for his family, and above all for Cristiano Junior, born in 2010, who is at the beginning of his football career.

Ronaldo Junior joins Manchester United academy. He’s following in his father’s footsteps

Ronaldo’s announcement shows that he never persuaded his son to become a footballer. The latter, however, decided to start a career in the same sport as his father and took his first steps at the Real Madrid academy. After moving to Juventus in 2018, he also joined the Turin youth teams. Now it’s time for the next step.

According to Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner on Instagram, the footballer’s son has just joined the Manchester United academy. The 11-year-old has been training with his English friends for several weeks, but only now have all the formalities completed. The young player will play for the new team with number 7 on his back, just like his father.

This season he played for Manchester United 26 games in all competitions, in which he scored 14 goals and recorded three assists.
