. On Friday, the Polish woman took 26th place in Beijing, the same as four years ago in Pyeongchang. Now she lost 2.30 to the gold medalist, Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami.
After the rivalry was over, the Polish woman talked about her start. – The Super Giant was beautiful and the track and setting were pleasant. It was too nice and therefore it was difficult to go fast. The feelings were amazing, really. It was the most pleasant feeling of a super giant in my life, I guess. The conditions were perfect, she said.

The caterpillar-Daniel commented on her start at the IO in a super giant. “I miss my downhill experience”
Later in the interview, the skier added that she drove quite well, but also indicated, which meant that she did not come higher in the final classification.
– My ride was pretty good. Technically, I did all the things pretty well. It’s just that I miss this downhill experience, which was a must today and I had no chance without it. It was really set up with great distances, quite fast, so it promotes the downhill athletes more. I am not like that and when I was reaching the finish line, I thought that my ride was not bad. I lost 2.30 seconds, which is quite a loss for this route, but on the other hand, the 2.30 seconds was the most lost on the first and last stage, which were mostly in the downhill position and straight ahead, and I unfortunately I twisted too much – explained Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel.
– I am one of the lightest players in today’s super giant. And it certainly does not make it any easier for me, especially in the last section, where you have over 30 seconds in the downhill position – added the Polish woman.
The Swiss-Behrami won the gold in the giant slalom, the silver was won by the Austrian Mirjam Puchner – a loss of 0.22 seconds, and the bronze of her teammate, Michelle Gisin – 0.30 seconds behind the Olympic champion.
