The athlete said she was pleased with her performance, despite the leg injury. “I’m glad I skated cleanly, but I’m upset that I didn’t do the triple axel. I had two options – to shoot or skate. But in the morning I woke up and realized that my leg was not hurting so much, ”she added.
The short program for women at the US Grand Prix took place on the night of October 23-24. Russian figure skaters Alexandra Trusova, Daria Usacheva and Ksenia Sinitsyna took the first three places. Trusova received 77.69 points for the rental and set a personal record. She jumped a double axel, a triple flip, a triple lutz – a triple toe loop in a cascade.
The skater’s free program will be shown on the night of October 24-25. The broadcast will begin at 23:02 Moscow time.
