ELA calls to take to the streets against cuts in pensions and for the repeal of the labor reform

She has called for this Sunday four manifestations that will depart at 11:30 a.m. in Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Donostia-San Sebastián and Pamplona / Iruña, under the motto Do not sell us in Madrid. No to cutting pensions. Repeal the labor reform.

The objective of the marches is “to mobilize the working class and pressure the political parties, specifically to PNV, EH Bildu and Podemos, to commit not to approve any cuts in pensions and to defend the repeal of the labor reform “, since “the new labor reform aims to maintain the most harmful elements imposed by Zapatero (2010) and Rajoy (2012)”.

Spokesmen for the union have recalled that these reforms need to be approved in Congress by a majority, and have warned that “today that group of pro-independence and nationalist parties called the ‘governance bloc’ can prevent pension cuts and condition the labor reform.” Although they believe that “the silence of these parties on such serious reforms is very disturbing.”

ELA believes that this is the crucial moment to know the content, orientation and dates in which they intend to approve these reforms and assures that it will do everything possible to “condition” them, even with the possibility of a general strike.
