Kurt Zouma received “the greatest possible penalty” for abusing cats

The shocking video with the participation appeared on social media on Monday evening. It shows how a soccer player abuses his cats. The French was kicking the animals and throwing objects at them. The video caused considerable bitterness among Internet users.

Kurt Zouma may be in trouble

Initially, the French center-back did not have to be responsible for his behavior, as the English announced that it would not take any steps in this case. Eventually, however, the RSCPA organization, which deals with security, entered the action.

Jakub Krupa, a Polish journalist working in the British Isles, explained that the RSCPA is a key organization that deals with this type of case. He added that animal abuse investigations take place at the request of this organization, which first collects the documents and then goes to court.

Soon after the recording was released, the French apologized for his behavior. “I want to apologize for my actions. There is no excuse for my behavior, I sincerely regret it. I also want to say that I apologize to anyone who felt upset with this recording. I assure everyone that our two cats are now perfectly healthy. They are loved and appreciated by our whole family, and this behavior was an isolated incident that will never happen again “- he assured in a special statement.

The RSCPA picked up Zoumie’s cats

Initially, the RSCPA did not inform about further steps in the case of the French, the more that the police rarely joined this type of case. It turned out, however, that the organization managed to obtain the required documents on the basis of which an investigation into the West Ham player was launched.

However, the consequences for Zouma do not end there. The Daily Telegraph journalist, Ben Rumsby, informed on Twitter that the aforementioned organization decided to collect the animals. The officers were to believe that only in this way could the cats be ensured an adequate level of safety.

The French club also took a stance on the matter. “West Ham United condemns the behavior of Kurt Zouma in the video that was circulating. We spoke to Kurt and we will be dealing with this internally, but we would like to make it clear that we do not condone animal cruelty in any way,” the statement reads.

In response to the confusion, West Ham fined Zouma £ 300,000. This is the highest possible penalty (equivalent to a two-week salary). These funds will be donated to charity, and more specifically to animal welfare.
