The Belgian Mousa Dembélé (82 games and 5 goals with the shirt of your choice), playing in Canton R & F in the Chinese football league, said on Tuesday in his Instagram account that will retire at the end of this season.
“I would first like to thank the nice messages I received,” he wrote.
“I have to clarify things. I did not stop (my career) I can say that I will retire at the end of the season,” said Mousa Dembélé, who is under contract with the Canton R & F since January 2019.
The Belgian half 34 years debuted professionally at Germinal Beerschot in his country. From there he went by the Dutch football before moving to the English Premier League, playing at Fulham and Tottenham, where he spent six and a half seasons (2012-2019).
“Congratulations on your incredible career, Mousa,” wrote on Twitter Tottenham.
With Belgium, Mousa Dembélé played in two World Cups (2014 and 2018) and one European Championship (2016).
