Klaudia Domaradzka did not advance to the final in the 1st place competition. She ended her performance in this competition on the third slide. Up to a certain point, things were going well and the Pole had a chance for a promotion, but the slide could have ended disastrously for her. At around 122 km / h, the Polish woman lost control and started hitting gangs. Domaradzka fell off the sled, but by some miracle she managed to save herself and reach the finish line by the force of her momentum.
Domaradzka had a chance for the final, but she made a mistake. “We are very sorry”
– I fell asleep a bit and it happened. I have bumped my elbow a bit, but it’s not the first time, so nothing is happening. We fight to the end, there is no soft game, no surrender. I wouldn’t miss the chance to finish. I am here to finish the competition – she said in an interview with TVP Sport.
“We feel very sorry for Klaudia Domaradzka, because we know how much energy, passion and hard work she put into the preparations for the performance and the entire starting season. The final position on the list with the results does not reflect how well I can ride oh dragon and how many positive emotions (with her trips to the Olympics) she provided us. And for all that – great respect and thanks! ” – we read on the Facebook profile of the Polish Toboggan Sports Association.
Domaradzka’s time allowed her to take 27th place. More than six seconds after the leader, the German Natalie Geisenberger, reached the finish line. There is one more competition ahead of Domaradzka – the relay race.
