Russian biathlete was one step away from the podium at the 2022 Olympics

Russian biathlete Maxim Tsvetkov finished fourth in the individual race at the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The winner was the Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet, who covered the distance in 48 minutes and 47.4 seconds and made two misses. In second place is Belarusian Anton Smolsky (+14.8 seconds, no misses). Norway’s Johannes Beh finished third with 31.1 seconds, two penalties. Tsvetkov remained one step away from the podium, with one penalty, 34.9 seconds back.

Other Russians could not get into the flowers. According to the intermediate results, Alexander Loginov took 10th place, and Eduard Latypov – 11th. Said Khalili remained outside the top 20 strongest.

Earlier, Russian biathletes have already won one award at the Games in Beijing. Loginov, Latypov, Uliana Nigmatullina and Anfisa Reztsova took third place in the mixed relay.

On February 11, the biathletes will perform in the sprint. The race will start at 12:00 Moscow time.
