Incredible talent. The 16-year-old amazes the esports world

The transfer hero, who rocked the CS: GO scene, has his first appearances as G2 player. Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov helped the “Samurai” get caught up in the final phase of BLAST Premier Spring. The action of the 16-year-old is already one of the favorites to be called the action of the year, even though the season has just started.

A decent result

G2 finished the tournament with four wins and only one defeat. The composition of the Spanish organization only missed Vitality, and in this match he did not sell cheap leather, losing 1: 2. The rest of the meetings went relatively easily for the “Samurai”, although it must be said that rivals such as MIBR or Complexity are not top-shelf.

With the arrival of the new host Alexi “Aleksib” Virolainen, the playing style of five has changed a bit. So far G2 has shown some interesting patterns, thanks to which the band seems to perform better as a collective. Some aspects weren’t looking perfect yet, but that should come with time.

A difficult season is ahead of the team. Last year the team struggled with great successes several times. Each time the failures were determined by details, and as a result, the G2 trophy case began to glow empty. The dragging of Virolainen and Osipov is about to change that fact.

The magic of “m0NESY”

For the young sniper, BLAST was the first tournament of such a high rank in his career. Nevertheless, there was no noticeable pressure after it. The Russian fit in like the last jigsaw puzzle G2 has been looking for over the past months. Osipov played spectacularly, and the Spanish organization could finally say without remorse that it finally had a class sniper under its wing.

“M0NESY’s” showcase has been one unique action. In a 1vs4 situation against MIBR. The Russian made the impossible, saving the round for his team on his own. The 16-year-old did not shake his hand for a moment. He scored each homicide with calculated precision and certainty. Playing at the level of the highest world class.

Osipov’s first appearances in the new team made a huge impression on the CS: GO community. The student of the academy, Natus Vincere, confirmed his earlier words – he is ready to compete with the best and does not feel any special pressure connected with it.

Perhaps soon the audience gathered at the Spodek Arena in Katowice will have an opportunity to watch “m0NESY” live. The Russian and his team will come to Poland for the IEM Katowice, which will start on February 17. G2 has direct participation in the main part of the tournament. If “Samurai” make it to the playoffs of IEM, they will have the opportunity to play live in front of the audience.
