Russian mixed martial artist (MMA) Fedor Emelianenko named the names of the athletes he considers as potential rivals. It is reported by TASS.
The 45-year-old heavyweight plans to discuss opponent selection with Bellator CEO Scott Cocker. However, Emelianenko has already voiced those who are interested in him. Among them are the Brazilians Fabricio Werdum and Junior dos Santos. Both are known for their performances in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and became the organization’s heavyweight champions.
On January 30, Cocker noted that Emelianenko would have a farewell fight. The promoter plans to organize a performance in Russia. The head of Bellator also expressed uncertainty that Ryan Bader, with whom they had already fought under the auspices of the organization, could become Emelianenko’s rival.
Emelianenko fought Timothy Johnson at the first ever Bellator tournament in Moscow. The fight ended with the victory of the Russian heavyweight.
Emelianenko is known for his performances in the Rings, Pride, Strikeforce and Bellator.
