Senegalese celebrate their African Cup of Nations title in the country’s capital

After the unprecedented conquest of the African Cup of Nations, this Sunday, Senegal fans filled the streets of Dakar, the country’s capital, to celebrate the title of the tournament won over Egypt.

In a game marked by the confrontation Salah x Mané, teammates from Liverpool, the Senegalese triumphed on penalties, after a 0-0 draw in regulation and extra time. After wasting a penalty early in the match, the Senegalese ace was the one who converted the decisive kick and secured the victory for the selection.

In addition to Dakar, there were also celebrations in France, where there is a large community from the African country.

The Egyptians, however, will have the opportunity to avenge their defeat in March this year, when the teams face each other in the African qualifiers for the World Cup and only one of them will be able to secure a spot in Qatar.
