Chelsea midfielder sees Palmeiras “aggressive” and talks about desire for unprecedented title

Chelsea’s debut in the Club World Cup is approaching. Midfielder Mason Mount analyzed his possible opponents if he advances to the decision, sees Palmeiras as an “aggressive” team and dreams of the unprecedented title.

The athlete warned that a final against the Brazilian club would be formidable and recalled that he followed the Libertadores duel against Flamengo, when Alviverde won its third championship.

“In the match, Palmeiras seemed a very aggressive team, with a lot of desire to win. They won the final showing a lot of heart and we know that any team that comes across us wants to beat us,” Mount told Chelsea’s website.

The English team plays against Al-Hilal this Wednesday, at 13:30 (Brasília time), to decide one of the finalists of the World Cup. On the other side of the key, Palmeiras meets Al Ahly the day before, on Tuesday, at the same time.

“We really want to win this tournament, like all the others we’ve participated in. We want to have that winning mentality and I hope we have a good campaign”, projected Mason.

This edition is the second that Chelsea participates and wants to lift the unprecedented cup. The first time, in 2012, the Blues were runners-up. The team ended up defeated in the final by 1 to 0 by Corinthians, with a goal from Paolo Guerrero.
