The coach of the Ukrainian national team reacted to the defeat from Russia at the European Cup in mini-football

The head coach of the Ukrainian futsal team Oleksandr Kostenko commented on the defeat in the semi-finals of the European Championship from the Russian team. His words are quoted by the Futsal Association of Ukraine.

Kostenko expressed his gratitude to the fans for their support in the stands of the stadium in Amsterdam. He also noted that participation in such a match drew attention to the sport and would have a positive impact on its development in Ukraine. Kostenko believes that his team looked decent in the confrontation with the Russians.

The Russian team turned out to be stronger than Ukraine in the semi-finals of the European Championship. Domestic football players outplayed rivals with a score of 3:2. However, a minute before the end of the match, Ukraine had a chance to level the score. The Russian goalkeeper saved the penalty.

The Russian national team will play in the decisive match of the tournament with the current champions – Portugal. Ukraine will compete for bronze medals in a duel against Spain. Both matches will be played on February 6th.
