Russian figure skaters Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov took second place in the short program of the team tournament at the 2022 Olympics. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.
The couple received 82.36 points for the rental. They lost to the Chinese duo Sui Wenjing – Han Cong, who scored 82.83 in the short program and set a new world record.
On February 4, Russians Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov took second place in the rhythm dance with 85.05 points. The first were the Americans Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donoghue, who scored 86.56 points.
Earlier it became known that the Russian figure skater Mark Kondratyuk took third place in the short program. For the short program with two quadruple jumps and a triple axel, Kondratyuk received 95.81 points. The first was the American Nathan Chen, the second – the Japanese Shoma Uno.
After the first competitive day, the Russian team is in second place and has 26 points. The leaders were American skaters with 28 points.
The team figure skating tournament first appeared in the program at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, where the Russians became the winners of the competition. At the 2018 Games in Pyeongchang, the team took second place, losing to the Canadians.
