The Professional League gives until the beginning of 2023 for Orense and Mushuc Runa to have artificial light in their stadiums

In the extraordinary session of Council of Presidents of the Professional Soccer League of Ecuador it was decided to give the clubs until the beginning of 2023 Mushuc Rune Y Ourense Sporting Club to install the artificial lighting system with LED lights in their respective stadiums.

According to the resolution that appears in the monthly newsletter of the professional soccer entity, a reform is made to the second transitory provision of the Security Regulations for the 2022 season, so that the sports venues that Orense SC and Mushuc Runa SC will use can be qualified. as fit for the Professional League, for this championship, despite not having the artificial lighting system.

Given the impossibility for both clubs to have artificial light, the Ambateño team set up Bellavista as an alternate stadium and will play there when the games are scheduled at night; while the Orense team will not perform at night as a local.

In addition, the Council of Presidents granted an exceptional extension, because a deadline had already been given, “until the start of the 2023 season for the Mushuc Runa SC and Orense SC clubs to imperatively have the artificial lighting system in their respective sports arenas.

Likewise, to qualify a venue where a team will participate as local in series A, the information details that “a reform of article 15 of the Security Regulations was carried out, establishing that the minimum capacity in all series A stadiums will be 7,000 people”, when, until the 2021 season, the minimum capacity was 10,000 fans.
