Emelec negotiates with three brands to add a new commercial name to the Capwell stadium

As is the case in many fields around the world, especially in England and Germany, Emelec has a new strategic ally. Its jersey for the 2022 season, which starts on February 18, has a new main sponsor for the next three years and its stadium will also have a new commercial name.

This Thursday, February 3, through a press conference at the George Capwell stadium, in his capacity as president in charge of Emelec, Bruno Leone reported that the team will have BET593, a National Lottery brand, as its main sponsor for the next three years, in such a way that it occupies the chest of the electricians’ shirt from this season.

“It is a reason for enormous satisfaction, because they are two institutions that represent Guayaquil: the Board is more than 130 years old; and Emelec, 93 years old. And now we are coming together in this alliance for the good of the team and the Board,” Leone said.

For his part, on behalf of the Board of Charities, José Enrique Rivas pointed out that the association with Los Azules is “a great opportunity to continue serving the people of Guayaquil and in general all of Ecuador, because the Board, through its different works, as it has been doing for 134 years, has the honor of serving Ecuadorians through its four hospitals, as well as schools, nursing homes…”.

Within the framework of the agreement, Rivera added that Emelec is the “ideal partner” that will allow them to have brand exposure “and be able to achieve the objectives set.”

The launch of the new team clothing, already with the image of the new sponsor and the spot of the new campaign, will take place on Monday (February 7) at the Blu Rooftop venue through a broadcast on the TikTok social network, according to what the club’s Marketing Manager, Ivonne Tufiño, told EL UNIVERSO.

Along the same lines, Tufiño revealed that Club Sport Emelec’s agreement with Banco del Pacífico for the Capwell stadium to bear the commercial name of the financial institution ended in December 2021, after the agreement that was initially signed in September was fulfilled. 2013 for the transfer of the rights to the name of the sports venue to be called Banco del Pacífico-Capwell Stadium.

“It is something that is in the priorities of the club the subject of the naming rights of the stadium. We are in talks with up to three brands”, he pointed out.

In this context, yesterday the last banner with the bank’s logo from a space on the roof of the General Av. Quito area, added Tufiño.

Right now, from the offices of the millionaire club, negotiations are being held with up to three brands around an alliance corresponding to the 2022 season.

This year, in addition to the national competition (LigaPro Serie A and Copa Ecuador), the team led by the Spanish Ismael Rescalvo will play the group stage of the Copa Libertadores de América.
