Oscar Graham Yamahuchicurrent head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (FEM), assured that it is necessary to move to a stage of sustained and viable growth, for which the conditions must be generated and the messages of confidence necessary for private investment must be given.
“We are going through this stage of the pandemic and it is necessary to focus on the reactivation stage, on the agenda to improve competitiveness and on the promotion of private and public investment,” he indicated during the transfer of office ceremony held at the auditorium of FEMwhere former minister Pedro Francke Ballvé also participated.
Graham stressed that private investment is the great engine of growth and development, since it is the main generator of formal jobs.
“That growth and improvement in people’s employment is the most sustainable formula for alleviating poverty,” he remarked.
Likewise, the official remarked that since the FEM Support will continue to be provided to regional governments to work together aiming to boost public investment for the benefit of citizens. “The ultimate goal of public policies is to improve the lives of Peruvians,” he said.
During his speech, Minister Graham highlighted the management of Francke Ballvé and thanked his contribution at the head of the portfolio since July 31 of last year.
