U.S. 2022 Women’s Singles Champion Mariah Bell has named two of her favorite Russian figure skaters. Her words are quoted by Sport-Express.
“I love Alina Zagitova very much, we performed together on the show, and she is very sweet. I am a big fan of Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, we are all friends and get along well, chatting sometimes, ”the figure skater shared. Bell noted that it was a pleasure to compete and communicate with all the Russians with whom she met.
On February 1, American figure skater Nathan Chen spoke about Russian single skaters Kamila Valieva, Anna Shcherbakova and Alexander Trusova. Chen noted that all three girls brought a lot to figure skating. “I’m glad I won’t have to compete with them. They do amazing things, it’s just great,” Chen said.
Bell is the 2019 World Team Champion. The figure skater was included in the US team for the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
