Canadian hockey player spoke about her concern for her rivals from the Russian national team

Canada women’s ice hockey team forward Brianne Jenner spoke about the situation with the spread of coronavirus among the participants in the Beijing Olympics. It is reported by “Match TV”.

She noted that her team is focused on preparing for the Games, but at the same time, she is worried about her rivals, including the Russian team. “I wish all other teams and athletes stay healthy. Let us have a clean, full-fledged Olympics. We keep our fingers crossed so that it happens, ”added the hockey player.

Jenner became the Olympic champion in the Canadian team at the 2014 Games in Sochi, and four years later she won silver at the Olympics in Pyeongchang. The Russian team in those competitions took fourth place.

Earlier on Monday, January 31, it became known that Russian skeletonist Nikita Tregubov was missing the Olympics. The medalist of the 2018 Olympics will not be able to compete in Beijing due to an insufficient number of negative tests for coronavirus.
