Russian synchronized swimmer revealed the fate of BMW donated for Olympic medals

Russian synchronized swimmer Vlada Chigireva spoke about plans for BMW cars, presented to her for the gold medals of the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games. She revealed the fate of the machines in an interview with Lente.ru.

The athlete said she was not going to leave both BMWs. “I thought to give my mother one, but decided that the previous tax was big. And yet, for Rostov, it is better that the car is good, but not so that people stare at it. We will sell the old one, we will buy a new one for mom with this money, ”Chigireva explained.

In addition, the synchronized interpreter answered the question about buying a dream. According to her, now it is a house by the sea and an apartment overlooking Moscow, but before she wanted a Tesla car. “Such a car is not suitable for Russia. There are charging points everywhere in America, but you won’t find here. I can imagine how in minus 30 you can get up here. And what to do with this battery? Or it will flood if – there is no way to save it. I love to drive, I am waiting for all the conditions for this in Russia. So that there are gas stations with service and food everywhere, so as not to be afraid that you can get up somewhere and no one will come to the rescue, “Chigireva noted.

The presentation of cars to the winners and prize-winners of the Olympic Games in Tokyo took place on September 11 in the Kremlin. The athletes who won gold medals were awarded BMW X5 cars. After the Olympics in Rio, the winners were handed the keys to the BMW X6.

Chigireva is the Olympic champion of Rio and Tokyo as part of the group. In addition, she has 11 victories at the World Championships and four at the European Championships.
