THE Barcelona is still keeping an eye on the transfer market. The Catalan team is negotiating with Arsenal the loan of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the player would arrive on a contract until the end of the season. The information is from the English newspaper SkySports.
The 32-year-old forward was last on the pitch in an Arsenal shirt on 6 December 2021 as he was sidelined. At the time, the English team alleged disciplinary problems and, therefore, the player lost his captaincy belt.
Aubameyang was even called up to the Gabon national team for the African Cup of Nations, but had to be cut, first because he tested positive for covid-19 and then because of heart problems.
This season, Aubameyang has played just 14 games, scored four goals and provided one assist.
