Isolated leader of Group A of Europa League, O Lyon beat Sparta Praga by 4-3 this Thursday, away from home. With Lucas Paquetá’s goal, the French reached nine points and stabilized at the top of the group.
Even finishing more on goal and keeping control of ball possession, the team led by coach Peter Bozs left behind on the scoreboard. With less than 20 minutes of the first stage, the Czech Republic team went into the net twice, with Lukas Haraslín scoring both goals.
Despite the large disadvantage on the scoreboard and the strong pressure from the opposing fans, Lyon continued to attack and seek to score. With the victory of Lyon, which remained at the top of Group A with nine points, the team coached by Pavel Vrba continues in 2nd place, with four added. Rangers, in 3rd place with three points, and Brondby, who added just one point and occupies the last place, close the key.
