The Esportsman Appeals to Valve. “Change it up because you are destroying hearing”

The main association of using a computer and spending many hours playing games is with visual impairments. Patrik “Zero” Zudel noted, however, that players may also struggle with damage to the dry apparatus. He even points to an element that should be improved in CS: GO.

Tinnitus

The player of GamerLegion Patrik “Zero” Zudel drew attention to an interesting problem. Usually, players point out errors that are inside the game. This applies, for example, to the mechanics of the gameplay itself, but also to bugs related to grenades, weapons or elements on the map. Sowak, however, will focus on something else that has a negative impact primarily on the players.

The 23-year-old shared his thoughts on flashbangs on Twitter. These are bullet-bang grenades, which in CS: GO stun the enemy, but also dazzle. Properly cast, they make the fingerprint white on the screen and squeal in the ears.

Zero will indicate what’s wrong with flashbangs. – The frequency of the sound of this grenade, they felt 2600 Hz and its voice is a real problem in CS: GO. Valve, you really have to do something about it, as it will produce 100% tinnitus (ear damage). It is necessary to reduce the level of 2600 Hz. It is really easy to make such changes, Owl began.

– Not to say it’s the only frequency that causes damage to dryness. The 2600 Hz sine wave is very similar to tinnitus, so it triggers it in people who already have it. The problem itself is complicated and it is only part of the solution – adds Zero.

Another esport player will join the discussion – Chris “chrisJ” de Jong. “Valve should make CS: GO a friendlier game, not one that is impossible for people with tinnitus or color blindness to play,” wrote the Dutchman.

Zudel is the first player to chase the situation. As she pointed out, maybe some people do not understand this problem because it is troubling for people who already have tinnitus. If, however, changing the frequency could improve the gaming experience for some people, then Valve should address the issue as soon as possible.
