Transfer hit in Serie A, one step away from finalization

30 million euros – this is how much Atalanta has to pay for the transfer of a player who can play on the left pendulum or left defense. Robin Gosens is one step away from strengthening the Italian champion, and the local media argue that the only thing missing from the closing of the transaction is the player’s signature under the contract, which is now ready.

Transfer hit in Italy, one step away from finalization

Gosens will go to Inter on a six-month loan with a record that the player must be bought back in the summer. This means that the Italian champions will only pay for the player in a few months.

It is not yet known when Gosens will make his debut for the new club. And it’s not just about the time of the official confirmation of the transfer, but most of all about when the 13-time German representative will recover. Gosens played the last time against Young Boys Bern in the Champions League in September (1-0), and has been recovering from a thigh injury since then. There are many indications that he will return to the game in mid-February at the earliest.

Gosens came to Atalanta in the summer of 2017 with Heraclesa Almelo. In more than four years of playing for the club, he became one of the stars of Serie A. In 157 matches Germany scored 29 goals. Last season, he scored 12 goals and eight assists in 44 appearances.

After 22 league games, Inter is the leader of the table. Although Simone Inzaghi’s team has played one game less than Napoli and Milan, they have four points ahead of them. Atalanta is 4th in the table, ten points behind Inter.
