“Julian Nagelsmann tested positive for the coronavirus, despite being fully vaccinated. He will return to Munich separately from the team, in an ambulance plane, and will be placed in isolation,” the club reported on social networks.

The 34-year-old coach did not appear on Wednesday at Lisbon’s Estádio da Luz to follow his team’s 4-0 victory over Benfica in the Champions League. He traveled to Portugal on Tuesday, but remained in isolation at the hotel as a precaution.
The club reported on Wednesday that Nagelsman had “flu symptoms”.
Germany’s Health Ministry mandates that anyone who tests positive for the coronavirus must remain in isolation for 14 days.
