The Kremlin spoke about the protests of fans against Fan ID

The Kremlin expressed its readiness for dialogue with fans of Russian Premier League (RPL) clubs who plan to boycott league matches due to dissatisfaction with the introduction of Fan ID. It is reported by “R-Sport”.

The Kremlin’s position was expressed by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov. He emphasized that it is necessary not only to carry out explanatory work, but also to identify the reasons for protests against Fan ID by the fan community.

The Minister of Sports of Russia Oleg Matytsin has a similar opinion. The head of the department announced his readiness for dialogue with fans.

On January 21, it became known that fans of CSKA and Spartak were planning to boycott RPL matches, in addition, fans of Rostov announced a boycott. According to Metaratings.ru, fans of Lokomotiv and Dynamo will soon join them.

The law on the implementation of the fan ID (Fan ID) will come into force on June 1, it has already been signed by Vladimir Putin. The system was tested during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. To enter the podium, each fan was required to have a personalized spectator card.
