Fans of Zenit explained the refusal of Fan ID

The fan asset of St. Petersburg Zenit explained why it opposes the introduction of the Fan ID system. This was reported on the Landskrona website.

“These innovations, promoted by substituting the concepts of comfort and safety, are opaque, repressive and redundant,” the fans said. In their opinion, this law allows officials, in complete disregard for the constitutional rights of a citizen, without considering his case by the court and without the participation of the citizen himself, to deprive him of the right to attend matches.

Earlier it became known that active fans of Spartak Moscow and CSKA are opposed to Fan ID and are ready to boycott matches. The law on the introduction of the FAN ID will come into force on 1 June. RPL matches will resume after the winter break.

Fan ID was tested during the 2018 World Cup in Russia. To enter the podium, each fan was required to have a personalized spectator card. In addition, the presence of a Fan ID exempted foreign fans from obtaining a Russian visa.
