Manchester United manager reacts to Ronaldo’s tantrum after substitution

Manchester United head coach Ralph Rangnick has spoken out about his relationship with striker Cristiano Ronaldo. His words are quoted by The Athletic.

“I didn’t expect him to cuddle with me after the replacement. I know how scorer players think. I would not refuse such a decision again, ”the specialist reacted to the hysteria of the Portuguese after the replacement. The coach explained that he replaced Ronaldo due to the fact that he did not play for a week and a half due to injury. He stressed that in six weeks of work in the team he had no problems with the player.

Ronaldo threw a tantrum after chief Rangnick replaced him in an English Premier League (EPL) match against Brentford. The football player threw the jacket handed to him on the ground and sat down on the step near the bench. He helped the team to a 2-0 lead when he provided an assist to teammate Mason Greenwood. The meeting ended with the victory of Manchester United with a score of 3:1.

On January 20, it became known that Ronaldo could leave the English club if the team did not reach the Champions League. He intends to break the record of former Real Madrid player Francisco Gento, who won the tournament six times.
