In Kalmykia, a criminal case has been sent to court about an armed attack by ex-policemen on a sausage shop and a private house in the Sarpinsky district. According to the Investigative Committee, the crime was committed in November 2020. The owner of the workshop and his wife were seriously injured, the worker of the plant died from his injuries. Half a million rubles and valuable items became the booty of the villains.
It was established that the attack was carried out by three residents of Rostov-on-Don, armed with sawn-off hunting rifles and nail pullers, wearing masks on their faces and wearing gloves. During the investigation, the detainees confessed to this attack and to committing four other previously undisclosed robberies in the Rostov region from 2014 to 2020. They also gave the stolen valuables to the investigation.
It was also established that when committing crimes, the defendants were active law enforcement officers of one of the regions neighboring Kalmykia.
The defendants are accused of banditry, murder, causing grievous bodily harm, illegal arms trafficking.
The involvement of all three in the crimes was confirmed by a number of examinations, testimonies of victims and witnesses. The accused were found hiding places with weapons, ammunition, explosives and stolen property.
