The head coach of Dynamo Moscow, Sandro Schwartz, praised the performance of the club’s newcomer Fyodor Smolov in his debut match against the Qatar Armed Forces team. His words are quoted by the Dynamo website.
The 43-year-old German specialist stressed that the coaching staff is pleased that Smolov managed to score twice in the first match after returning. He appreciated the performance of the forward. “Fyodor has been training hard for ten days of the training camp. He joined the team absolutely painlessly, ”said Schwartz.
Earlier, Dynamo defeated the team of the Qatar Armed Forces in a test match with a score of 12:0. Smolov hit the opponents’ goal twice, converting penalties in both cases.
Smolov returned to Dynamo on January 12. Before that, the forward played for Lokomotiv.
Dynamo became the first club in Smolov’s professional career. He was in the blue and white system from 2007 to 2015.
