Francisco Egas, president of the FEF, proposes a meeting to explain more about the request for permission to have fans in the stadium on January 27.
Before the game on date 15 of the South American qualifier for Qatar 2022, between Ecuador and Brazil, the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) made its request official Emergency Operations Committee (COE) national to have 60% capacity in the stadium.
According to the letter dated January 20, addressed to Juan Zapata, president of the COE, in the pertinent part it states: “We formally request the authorization of limited capacity from the national COE of up to 60% for the Ecuador vs. Brazil, which will be played on Thursday, January 27, at 4:00 p.m., at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium, for the date 15 of the South American qualifiers to the World Cup Qatar 2022″.
The national entity wields various justifications and highlights that the proposed request comes hand in hand with the commitment of the FEF to give strict compliance of the following practices taken from countries in the region and the world where this process has advanced successfully:
Seating distance: The rows in locations such as general, grandstand and boxes will have two seats with lateral distance between each spectator.
Mandatory use of mask: The use of a mask will be mandatory in all locations, except inside the suites because they are private horizontal properties occupied by members of the same social/family group.
Capacity in suites: For these localities, 50% of the capacity is proposed because they are social/family groups that manage their own health bubble.
Entry and exit times: A differentiated entry and exit schedule will be implemented for each locality.
Digital tickets: Ticket sales have been 100% digital and nominal in compliance with the provisions of FIFA and the Law on the Prevention of Violence in Sports.
We encourage vaccination: The sale of tickets has been carried out exclusively for those who have received the full dose of vaccination and are duly registered in the national government system.
Security: Vehicular and pedestrian security rings will be established so that the perimeter and access to the stadium are available only to people with their digital ticket. There will also be enough private security personnel to monitor the use of a mask in locations with the support of the modern CCTV system available in the stadium.
Sanitary facilities: The use of the toilets will be enabled only during the development of the match to avoid crowds at halftime.
The Ecuafootball also attached that all the countries of the region have already confirmed the following capacities for the matches of the qualifying games, as follows:
Argentina, to 100 %; Bolivia, 50%; Brazil, 100 %; Chile, 70 %; Colombia, 75 %; Paraguay, 50 %; Peru, 30%; Uruguay, 100%; Y Venezuela, 50 %.
In the final part, Francisco Egas, president of the FEF, proposes that if the COE needs to deepen these or other aspects inherent to the request. so whatstay tuned to coordinate a meeting that “allows them to join forces to continue counting on the support of the fans” in order to qualify for the world Cup.
