Salah doesn’t score, but Egypt beats Sudan to advance to Africa Cup of Nations

This Wednesday, the Egypt beat Sudan, by the minimum score, and advanced to the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations.

The match played at Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, in Yaoundé, capital of Cameroon, was attended by Mohamed Salah, star of the Liverpool, which did not rock the nets. Who secured the victory was Mohamed Abdelmonem, with a goal scored in the 35th minute of the first half.

With the result, the Egyptian national team went to six points and ended the group stage in second place in group D. The eliminated Sudan, in turn, was left with just one point and in third place.

Nigeria leader beats Guinea-Bissau

Also this Wednesday, the Nigeria beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0. The game took place at the Estadio Omnisport Roumdé Adjia, in Garoua, northern Cameroon.

Umar Sadiq opened the scoring in the 11th minute of the second half. Already at 30, William Troost-Ekong gave final numbers to the duel.

With the triumph, the classified Nigerian team confirmed 100% of success after three matches, reached nine points and leads group D. Guinea-Bissau, with only one point, ended up in the bottom and eliminated.
