The matches of the Russian football championship will be organized in accordance with the regulations, including its sanitary part. This is how the Russian Premier League (RPL) reacted to the introduction of non-working days in the country from October 30 to November 7, Match TV reports.
They stressed that the headquarters of the league is monitoring the situation. RPL will act on the basis of decisions of the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the country.
During the non-working days, it is planned to hold the 13th and 14th rounds of the RPL. After that, there will be a break in the league associated with the national team matches.
On October 19, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova proposed introducing non-working days from October 30 to November 7. Russian President Vladimir Putin supported her proposal. He also instructed the heads of the regions where the high incidence of coronavirus is recorded to assess the situation and introduce non-working days a week earlier – starting from October 23rd.
