Let us recall that on Tuesday morning Polish handball players were tested for coronavirus before the match with Germany, which according to the union was “sudden and unexpected”. They had to wait several dozen minutes for them – first in front of the hotel, waiting for the arrival of the bus that took them to the test site, and then on the spot, in a line in front of others taking the test.
An important game of Polish handball players and a serious weakening
– It is incomprehensible to us -, Henryk Szczepański. He knew that she ordered the tests themselves, and that German players also passed them in front of the Poles, so there was no play for the team of Patryk Rombl. However, he blamed the Slovak organizers for the fatal circumstances of their performance.
The test results showed up after a few hours. Only Maciej Gębala had a positive result, but he was reported to the EHF as a recovery and there was a chance that he would play in the match. he had to discuss it with the federation and inform about the player’s availability. However, the union has now announced the squad for an important match with Germany and Gębala is missing there.
states that he was not admitted to the evening meeting by the European Handball Federation (EHF) because of a positive test result. This is a serious weakening for the white-and-reds, because they lost the defense leader.
The team for the duel with the Germans included: Ariel Pietrasik, Arkadiusz Moryto, Bartłomiej Bis, Kamil Syprzak, Krzysztof Komarzewski, Maciej Pilitowski, Mateusz Kornecki, Mateusz Zembrzyki, Melwin Beckman, Michał Daszek, Michał Olejniczak, Mikołaj Czapliński, Piotr Jędjewczyk, Przemysław Kraawczyk , Rafał Przybylski and Szymon Sićko.
