Real Madrid accepted the billionaire offer for Hazard. But there was a problem

£ 100 million – this is how much he paid for in 2019. Although the Belgian contract with the Stamford Bridge club only lasted a year, the Spaniards were very determined to bring in one of the best players in the world at the time.

Hazard’s transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu, however, turned out to be a big mistake. The Belgian in Madrid not only does not shine like in the previous club, but also has problems with regular play. Hazard was quite overweight, which was said to have caused him frequent injuries. It is because of them that the player has so far played only 59 matches in Real, in which he scored only five goals.

On Monday, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported that Hazard asked Real to transfer in the summer transfer window. The player is to be frustrated with his situation and hopes that the bad card will change in the new club. However, it seems the Belgian is not desperate to leave Spain.

Hazard rejected Newcastle United’s offer

The Daily Mail reported that Real is ready to sell Hazard this winter. According to the newspaper, the club accepted the offer for the player it made. Real was supposed to earn 40 million pounds on the transfer, but Hazard himself did not agree to the move.

The main reason for the Belgian’s decision was the ambitions of the English club. Hazard wants to play in the Champions League and Newcastle, while having serious intentions, has to worry about staying in the Premier League for now. We would like to remind you that the club has recently been owned by the Public Investment Fund, closely related to the Saudi royal family.

After 20 Premier League rounds, Newcastle United is on the penultimate place in the table with just 12 points. Eddie Howe’s team is two points behind safe-handed Watford, who, however, played one game less.

In order to improve the situation, the club set off for solid reinforcements in winter. In January, right-back Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid and forward Chris Wood from Burnley joined Newcastle United for a total cost of more than £ 30 million.

A possible transfer to Newcastle United would bring Hazard back to the Islands. From 2012 to 2019, the Belgian was a Chelsea footballer.
