FIFA The Best gala is behind us, during which awards were given to the best players of last season. Due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the ceremony took place without an audience. Present at the gala were the hosts, FIFA president Gianni Infantino and people from the world of football who handed out the awards.

Throughout the gala, the presenters were connecting with the nominees and winners via the Internet. There were also technical problems. Edouard Mendy did not appear at all, Jenni Hermoso did not hear what the hosts were saying to her, and the connection with Erik Lamela was very stuck.

And this, surprisingly, was not the award for the best footballer – for dessert, the organizers left a special statuette for him for breaking the record in the number of goals scored in the national team. Interestingly, the Portuguese appeared in person at the gala and collected the statuette. So the competitor had the best entrance and received the award with the greatest pump. Robert Lewandowski also received the award personally, but it was presented to him by Bayern representatives, including Oliver Kahn and Julian Nagelsmann.

The award for Cristiano Ronaldo was the final touch of this gala. Earlier it was announced that he was the best footballer in the world. The Pole was also in the top eleven, right next to the Portuguese. In addition, the award for the best goalkeeper, coach and many others were presented.
