CD Projekt RED is not giving up and is still working on it. Although the game was released in December 2020, the developers are still fine-tuning it. Currently, the studio is preparing to release a major update of its game to the market.
A long-awaited update
The patch in question has been anticipated by players for several months. Cyberpunk 2077 was last updated in September 2021. Initially, players expected another update a few weeks later, but the CEO of CD Projekt RED quickly cut this speculation down, stating that

What indicates that the new update should hit the players soon? On the SteamDB site, you will notice that the unpublished version of the game has received an update on Steam, the platform for selling PC games. Changes have been made to the content of Cyberpunk, but also different language versions have been changed. However, this is the only information about modifications for now.
Such action may, however, reveal the future steps of CD Projekt RED, which is getting ready to introduce the update. We don’t know a specific release date for patch 1.5 yet. If the words of Adam Kiciñski are true, both the update and the versions for PS5 and Xbox Series will appear in the first quarter of 2022, that is by the end of March.
