A great jump by Maciej Kot! Nine Poles in the competition in Zakopane

After the unsuccessful for the Poles on Saturday, in which they took sixth place, on Sunday it was time for an individual competition – qualifications and a competition postponed from Friday. Of course, the injured Kamil Stoch was missing, as was Dawid Kubacki who was suffering from COVID-19. Therefore, 69 competitors stood at the start, including 11 Polish representatives.

Lindvik is the best in qualifying. Nine Poles in the competition

The Norwegian Marius Lindvik won the qualification on Sunday. The Austrian Jan Hoerl was second and the Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi was third. All three jumped 137.5 meters.

Polish jumpers were promoted to the competition. The best of them were Piotr ¯y³a (132.5 m) and Maciej Kot (128 m), who took 18th place ex aequo. Paweł Wąsek (127 m) was 21st, Stefan Hula (126 m) 35th, Andrzej Stękała (123 m) 38th, Klemens Murańka (122.5 m) 39th, Tomasz Pilch (122 m) 44th, Jakub Wolny (119.5 m) 47th, and Aleksander Zniszczoł (118 m) 50.

Only Jan Habdas and Kacper Juroszek did not qualify for the competition. Both scored 115 meters and finished 56th and 57th respectively.
