This weekend, the best jumpers in the world came to Zakopane. On Saturday, at Wielka Krokiew, a team competition took place, which did not break the Polish players. In the absence of Dawid Kubacki, the jumpers took only sixth place, and the Slovenes were the unexpected winners.
WC in Zakopane. An important test for Polish jumpers before the departure to the Olympic Games
On Sunday, we will have an individual competition, which will be important for Poles for several reasons. Firstly, it is after these competitions that the coaching staff will finally decide who will fly to the Beijing Olympics. .
The last form leaves the most doubts, as successful performances (seventh place in Bischofshofen) are intertwined with worse jumps. The latter happened to him on Saturday in the team competition, in which he did not exceed the construction point and took only 22nd place in the unofficial individual classification. It is also interesting if the youngest Pole, who jumps very well in Zakopane, will confirm the good disposition.
A total of 11 Poles will take part in the qualifications: Jan Habdas, Klemens Murańka, Maciej Kot, Tomasz Pilch, Kacper Juroszek, Stefan Hula, Andrzej Stękała, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Paweł Wąsek, Jakub Wolny and Piotr ya.
