Russian figure skater Valieva won the European Championship

Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva won the European Championship. This is reported by the correspondent of “Lenta.ru”.

The 15-year-old athlete received 259.06 points for two rentals. In the short program, the skater set a world record and took the lead.

There were two more Russians on the podium. Anna Shcherbakova scored 237.42 points and won silver. Bronze medal went to Alexandra Trusova with 234.36 points.

January 15 Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov confirmed the title of European champion. Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin finished the competition in second place.

On January 14, Russian Mark Kondratyuk became the European champion in men’s singles. For an 18-year-old athlete, this is the first victory in a major international tournament.

On January 13, Russian figure skaters took the entire podium in the pairs competition. Anastasia Mishina and Alexander Gallyamov won the tournament with a new world record. The second were Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov. The top three winners were closed by Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky.

The European Championship was held in Tallinn. This is the last international start before the Beijing Olympics.
