The Australian court has postponed the appeal of the Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic. It is reported by TASS with reference to judge Anthony Kelly.
The case of the athlete, who challenged the decision of the Australian authorities on the re-annulment of the visa and deportation, will be transferred to the federal court of the country. It will be reviewed on January 16th. The Athlete may remain in Australia until the end of the proceedings.
Earlier it became known that Djokovic will not be in custody. On January 15, the athlete will have an interview with the immigration service of the country.
On January 14, the Australian authorities revoked Djokovic’s visa and decided to deport him. It was noted that the athlete’s lawyers plan to appeal the decision.
The tennis player is being expelled from the country for the second time, as his visa does not include data on a medical exemption from vaccination against COVID-19. On January 10, Djokovic managed to win the appeal and get the opportunity to take part in the Australian Open (Australian Open), which will be held from January 17 to 30.
