The African Cup of Nations had two games this Thursday for the second round, both valid for Group A. Cameroon thrashed Ethiopia by 4-1 and guaranteed qualification to the next phase. Cape Verde lost to Burkina Faso 1-0.
With the results, Cameroon leads Group A with six points. Burkina Faso, in turn, takes second place, but has the same three points as Cape Verde, with an advantage in the tie-breaking criteria. To complete, Ethiopia holds the lantern of the group with two defeats.
In the next round, Cape Verde and Cameroon face each other and Burkina Faso plays against Ethiopia.
