With Brazilians on the field, Arsenal hold Liverpool at Anfield for the League Cup

Liverpool e Arsenal drew 0-0 this Friday, for the first leg of the English League Cup. The game, which had been postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Reds’ locker room, took place at Anfield.

The match was marked by the expulsion of midfielder Granit Xhaka in the 24th minute after a kick in the belly of Portuguese Diogo Jota.

Even with one more for most of the game, Liverpool couldn’t break through the Gunners’ block. Mané and Salah, stars of Klopp’s team, are with their teams in the African Cup of Nations.

Some Brazilians played the match. For Liverpool, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino were starters. In Arteta’s team, Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli played.

Magalhães even appeared in the coach Tite list for the next FIFA Date.

The match will return on January 20, at Emirates Stadium. Tuchel’s Chesea beat Tottenham and are already guaranteed the big decision.
