French defender Lucas Digne (28), who has played for Everton since 2018, has signed with Aston Villa, the two clubs announced. Premier League this Thursday.
The transfer amount of the former player from Barcelona was not disclosed, but would be around 30 million euros.
The left-back is the second signing of coach Steven Gerrard in the January transfer window, following the arrival of Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona.

The player fell out of favor at Everton under manager Rafael Benitez, who revealed last week that he had asked to leave. Digne, who hadn’t played for Everton since their loss to Liverpool on December 1, he made it clear in an Instagram post on Wednesday that he was unhappy with the way he was treated.
