American mixed style fighter (MMA) Anthony Smith shared his opinion about the Swede of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev. Smith is a guest on Michael Bisping’s podcast.
Smith said that he heard rumors about Chimaev’s abilities even before the Chechen moved to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). “I have been hearing stories about Chimaev for years. Even before his appearance in the UFC. I remember talking about how this guy in training blows heavyweights in Sweden, ”said Smith.
Chimaev had four successful fights within the UFC. In his last fight, he forced the surrender of the Chinese Li Jingliang. The Chechen won the first three victories in 66 days, which became a UFC record.
In total, Chimaev has ten victories in ten fights. Prior to joining the UFC, he fought at Brave FC. Chimaev also became the champion of Sweden in freestyle wrestling. The fighter is a native of Chechnya.
