Corinthians is close to closing with defender Robson Bambu

Corinthians expects to announce by the end of the week the hiring of defender Robson Bambu.

The 24-year-old player belongs to Nice, from France, and must sign a loan contract with Timão valid until December.

The information was initially released by the My Helm and confirmed by Sports Gazette.

This is not the first time that the Parque São Jorge club has tried to hire Bambu.

In 2018, Corinthians even negotiated with Athletico-PR, a team that held the economic rights of the athlete, who at the time played for Santos, but there was no consensus on values and the player ended up staying in Hurricane.

In 2020, he was sold to Nice, from France, for 8 million euros, approximately R$ 47 million at the time.

Robson Bambu has always been seen as a defender with a lot of potential, and he played for the Brazilian Under-23 Team and even in the 2020 Pre-Olympic.

The problem is that he underwent ankle surgery and hasn’t been on the field since March. Nice, with whom Bambu has a contract until June 2025, understands that the loan to Corinthians can give the athlete the rhythm of the game and, who knows, value him.
