We waited for the new MICHA band for over two months. After his adventure in the United States, the Pole decided to return to Europe. The 25-year-old now represents the colors
Back to Europe
The last stages of Michał “MICHU” Muller’s career took place in the United States. The Pole became involved with two organizations from the USA – first with Team Envy, and then with Evil Geniuses. Both adventures, however, were a failure, as evidenced by this. Additionally, the American CS: GO scene has experienced a significant regression in recent months. This is the effect of the growing strength of Valorant, which is becoming more and more popular in North America.
So MICHU decided to come back to Europe. The 25-year-old has become a new player in the Spanish organization MAD Lions. Interestingly, a year ago it was very close to joining Lviv. Then, however, the idea fell on the home straight and Muller joined Evil Geniuses. This time is different.
Muller joins forces with Jakub “kuben” Gurczyñski, who is the coach of the CS: GO division at MAD Lions. Both gentlemen have cooperated in Virtus.pro and they respect each other very much. There is no doubt that kuben could have opted for Michał’s transfer.
MAD Lions must fill in the gaps caused by the recent changes in the composition. In 2021, the organization chose a new project – international – employing players from all over Europe. The effect was very good, as the band had a brilliant winning streak and also jumped to 21st place in the HLTV world ranking. The team also appeared at several important tournaments, incl. IEM Fall 2021.
Why were changes made? We do not officially know the reasons. On December 29, the organization removed Pere “sausol” Solosna Saumell and Volodymyr “Woro2k” Veletniuk from the warehouse. The latter’s shift to the bench in particular is shocking, as the Ukrainian was the undisputed star of the team. MAD Lions, however, may have received offers to buy from both players, hence the rotation of the squad. After MICHA’s transfer, the team is still missing one player.
