Russian political scientist Valery Solovey, formerly head of the public relations department at MGIMO, predicts a war between Russia and Ukraine on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station. According to him, quoted by the Telegram channel “Told on Echo”, the likelihood of military action allegedly increased after the recent talks between the representatives of the Russian Federation and the United States in Geneva, during which the negotiators failed to agree on the non-expansion of NATO.
Valery Solovey announced that the likelihood of war is connected with the personal position of Vladimir Putin, who allegedly will have to prove that he did not retreat before the onslaught of the Americans, and assures that the American participants in the meeting in Geneva “mocked their Russian counterparts.”
Valery Solovey is known as the author of many insights on various topics – from the success of the next US sanctions initiatives and the hidden intentions of Vladimir Putin to the situation with the coronavirus. At the same time, the number of actually come true predictions of a well-known political scientist is relatively small.
