There are more and more indications that a foreign trainer may become the selector. Although the president of the Polish Football Association – – is to talk to the former selector – – Jerzy Brzêczek, Marek Papszun and Czesław Michniewicz have already been eliminated from the selection for various reasons.
On the other hand, more and more foreign offers are flowing to Kulesza’s desk. On Saturday, the president of the Polish Football Association spoke with Fabio Cannavaro, who, however, will not become the manager of the Polish national team. It will be the same with Slaven Bilić, whose name has appeared in the media in recent hours. .
There were also other names of Italians in the media, including Andrea Pirlo or Cesare Prandelli. The latter would be seen by the former Polish representative and the competitor of, among others, Wisła Kraków – Kamil Kosowski.
“Prandelli is the best candidate”
“Of the Italian coaches who appear in the media, Cesare Prandelli is the best candidate in my opinion. He is experienced, he led the Italian national team and reached the final of Euro 2012 with them. He would certainly have respect in the dressing room, because our team members know his achievements” – Kosowski wrote in a column in “Przegląd Sportowy”.
The 64-year-old Prandelli in his football career played for Cremonense, Atalanta and Juventus, with whom he won both the Italian championship and the European Cup. As a coach for Prandella, he worked for several clubs in Italy, until in 2010 he took over the national team of this country.
In 2012, he reached the final of Euro 2012 with her, where he lost 4-0 to Spain. However, at the World Cup in Brazil, the Italians did not leave the group, and Prandelli quit his job. After that, he had very mediocre episodes in Galatasaray, Valencia, Al-Nasr, Genua and Fiorentina.
Kulesza announced that he would like to choose a new coach of the Polish national team by 19 January.
