Koeman denies Daniel Alves’ possible return to Barcelona: “Nobody told me anything”

After leaving the São Paulo, Daniel Alves raised the possibility of returning to Barcelona in case the team needs it. This Tuesday, however, coach Ronald Koeman said he has not received information about any negotiations.

“No one from the club told me anything about it. If he was offered to sign, I don’t know anything about it,” said the Dutch coach at a press conference.

At the moment, Barça has only one option for the right flank. Sergiño Dest is the starter, while Sergi Roberto, who works in midfield, can also play in the other sector.

Currently without a club, Daniel Alves defended Barcelona for eight years. Between 2008 and 2016, he wore the team jersey in 391 opportunities, scoring 21 goals and 101 assists.

Pressed on Champions League, Barcelona plays on Wednesday, at 1:45 pm (GMT), when they host Dynamo Kiev for the 3rd round of the competition. The Spanish team lost the first two matches of the tournament.
